Automobile Battery Thermal Management System Global Market Insights 2022
An advanced battery thermal management system for emerging electric vehicles is investigated experimentally. The battery thermal management system developed is a hybrid of thermoelectric cooling, forced air cooling, and liquid cooling. The liquid coolant makes indirect contact with the battery and serves as a medium for removing heat generated by the battery during operation. Forced air-assisted heat removal is carried out from the thermoelectric liquid casing’s condenser side. Extensive tests are performed on a simulated electric vehicle battery system. The results of the experiments show a promising cooling effect with a reasonable amount of power dissipation. Electric vehicles (EVs) are widely publicized as a greener and more cost-effective alternative to conventional vehicles.
